Gujarati Calendar App Support

Last updated: 29 July 2026

At Gujarati Calendar we strive to provide the best support experience for our users. Whether you have questions, encounter technical issues, or need assistance with any aspect of the app, our support team is here to help.

Contact Us

If you have any inquiries or require assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can contact our support team by email at app-support@md-tech.in.

To get a useful answer quickly, include your device model, your OS version and the app version from the app's settings screen. Screenshots help more than descriptions.

Feedback and Suggestions

We value your feedback and continuously improve the app based on user input. If you have any suggestions, ideas or feedback on how we can enhance your experience with Gujarati Calendar, please let us know at app-support@md-tech.in. Your input is essential in helping us shape what we build next.

Account Deletion and Data

The app does not require you to register or sign in, so there is no account to manage. If you wish to have data deleted, please contact our support team at app-support@md-tech.in with your request. We will guide you through the process and ensure that it is handled securely and in accordance with our privacy policy.

You can also stop all collection of information by the app simply by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process on your device or app store.

Subscriptions and Payments

Cancelling Premium

Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, or it will renew. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Gujarati Calendar → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Gujarati Calendar → Cancel subscription.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. It has to be cancelled in the store account.

Restoring a Purchase

Purchases are tied to the store account that made them, not to a device. On a new phone, sign in with the same Apple Account or Google account, open the app, go to the Premium screen and use Restore Purchases.

If it does not restore, the usual cause is being signed in with a different account from the one that paid. A purchase cannot be transferred between accounts.

Refunds

Refunds are processed by the store that took your money, not by us. We cannot issue one directly.

  • App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → select the order → Request a refund

Each store applies its own eligibility rules and time limits.

Lifetime vs Subscription

The lifetime unlock is a one-off purchase and does not renew. The monthly and yearly options are subscriptions and renew automatically until cancelled. If you bought lifetime, there is nothing to cancel.

Dates and Timings

A Timing Looks Wrong for My City

Panchang timings are location-dependent. The app calculates for major reference cities — Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai and others — so if you are elsewhere, expect a difference of a few minutes and use the nearest listed city.

Before reporting an error, it is worth checking which convention your comparison source uses. Rahukaal in particular is published two different ways: from a fixed table assuming a 6am–6pm day, and from actual local sunrise and sunset. These can differ by half an hour and both are in wide use. The rahukaal guide explains it.

The Tithi Differs From My Family's Panchang by One Day

This is expected rather than a bug. A tithi starts and ends at a clock time, not at midnight, so deciding which calendar day it belongs to is a matter of rule — and different panchang traditions apply different rules. Two reputable sources can print a festival on different days and both be correct within their own tradition.

Where they differ, follow your family's practice. What is a tithi explains why this happens.

Reporting a Genuine Error

If something really is wrong, email app-support@md-tech.in with:

  • The exact date in question
  • The city you are using
  • What the app shows, and what you expected
  • Which panchang or source you are comparing against

That last line is the one that makes a report actionable.

Using the App

Does It Work Offline?

Yes, apart from the news. The calendar, tithis, panchang, choghadiya, festival and bank holiday lists, vrat kathas and aartis are stored on your device and work with no connection at all. The Gujarati Samachar section needs internet, because it fetches new articles.

Notifications

If you are not receiving notifications, check that they are enabled at the OS level first: iOS Settings → Notifications → Gujarati Calendar; Android Settings → Apps → Gujarati Calendar → Notifications. On Android, also check that battery optimisation is not restricting the app in the background, which is the most common cause of missed reminders.

Switching to Dark Mode

The theme option is in the app's settings menu. You can pick light or dark regardless of your system setting.

Changing the App Language

The app's content — tithis, festival names, kathas, aartis and rashifal — is written in Gujarati and is not translated into other languages. This website is in English, but the app is not.

Ads

The free version is ad-supported. Ads are served by third-party networks; you can limit ad personalisation at the OS level — iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising; Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Still Stuck?

Email app-support@md-tech.in. Describe what you did and what happened, and include your device, OS version and app version.

Thank you for using Gujarati Calendar. We appreciate your trust and look forward to assisting you.

About the content. Panchang, choghadiya, muhurat and rashifal belong to a living religious and cultural tradition, and are presented in that spirit. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical, legal, financial or professional advice. For a wedding, a ceremony or any decision that matters to your family, confirm the date against the panchang your family follows or with your own priest.
