Four new national helpline numbers were launched

 The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has launched four new helpline numbers to help people amid the second wave of COVID-19. The government has issued guidelines to private television channels to promote this number.

Four New National Helpline Numbers

  • HELP 1075 is the national helpline number of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
  • 1098 is the Child Helpline number of the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
  • 14566 is the Senior Citizens Helpline of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, it will work in states like Karnataka, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
  • 08046110007 is the helpline number of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) which will provide psychological support.

In addition, a Community Assistance Helpline No. 14443 was launched by the Ministry of AYUSH to address the challenges of COVID-19. The 1075 Kovid helpline number is now open to book vaccination slots for rural India. This information was given by the National Health Authority (NIA) headed by Sharma.
